It's A Girl for Beth - Aubree Elizabeth has arrived!

Yay! We have a new baby to celebrate! Beth gave birth via C-section around 8pm tonight. Aubree Elizabeth was born at 34 weeks gestation weighing 4lb. 8oz. Aubree went straight to NICU after a few kisses from her mommy! She is healthy and breathing well on her own, so far! Doctors said that if she does well all night tonight she may be able to room in with Beth as early as tomorrow. She was grunting a little tonight so they gave her a little oxygen but they said this is completly normal and to be expected. Beth is doing very well, better than I expected really. When we got up to the hospital shortly after the birth she was sitting up in bed, chatting with everyone in the room and complaining of only a little pain! Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers tonight! Yay! We have a new baby!

6/2/06 BABY UPDATE: William and I went up to the hospital this morning and were able to go with Tim and Beth to see Aubree in the NICU. She is so beautiful! 17.5 inches long. She is on 30% oxygen today via canula. Beth said her doctor is planning on keeping her in the hospital till Aubree is ready to go home too. When we went in to see her she was fussing a little but loved hearing her mommy's voice. She is so soft and so little! She looks just like Adam and when she cried she made the exact same pouty face he does. Beth was not able to hold her yet because Aubree is making some grunting noises and sucking in her chest a little when agitated. They want to wait that out before they let her hold her but we are hoping sometime today she will be in mom and dad's arms :) Keep up the prayers, so far so good!
